There's an old addage when working with any Microsoft product:

"Wait longer"

In other words, your first click was probably doing its thing. You just needed to wait a little longer to see it work.

In America, you can't open a bank account without an address. That means that the homeless population can't open a bank account (not easily, anyway), and therefore can't get a debit card.

Cashless is a nice idea, but it is extremely prohibitive against the most vulnerable people (which, sadly, might be part of the point).

I think the headline writer got confused about all the zeroes

He was 38 when he started writing The Hobbit, FYI

How did I know Elon was attached to this before I even clicked the article?

Wait, but if Taiwan is a part of China, wouldn't it be China getting the weapons?

So why are they mad, Bart? Why are they mad?

If all discernable heat is unobservable and unobtainable, then semantics don't matter. Everything still dies. I'd include "heat" in that mix, but that's waxing philosophical

Until the day that even heat dies.

Why is Trump allowed to keep spreading this unethical horseshit?

He said $30,000 for the cybertruck too. $30,000 just seems to be his "I don't really know the price" price.

Systemic regression of education priority + non-stop conspiratorial propaganda. I was born and grew up in the US and have seen the shift first-hand.

At least what you're seeing here is still just a very loud minority.

The sad thing is there are actual people out there who would believe this sooner than they'd see climate change as the cause.

Hey all, I made a Firefox extension (signed by Mozilla) specifically to add Show/Hide Child Comments functionality similar to how RES had it (where the parent comment is still visible).

It's not very useful, but I could use some feedback on tightening up the Javascript. I'm not a JS beginner, but I know I can do better, so any tips are welcome!

EDIT: Also, if anyone has any suggestions for the extension, I'm open to those as well.

Installed yesterday and immediately went ad-free. It's such a beautiful app.

Anyway, question is in the title.

I'm new myself but took the time to learn the platform. I'm not sure other people will have as much of an interest, so I'm just wondering if it would be a good idea for some of the old hat people to post some tips for people coming over from reddit.
