Hi, I'm @a_statistician, and I'm an idiot, because this post didn't show up at first for some reason and I felt compelled to create a different intro post. Sorry about that!

I'm a stat professor at a midwest US university who studies data visualization and teaches R and Python. Looking forward to having a community here and hoping that I can keep up with doing my part to add content!
