Until now I've avoided almost everything to do with combat so I guess this is my introduction.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the first PlayStation title on PC that uses a new PlayStation overlay, which includes your Friends list, Trophies, Settings, and your Profile. This feature is available on Windows PCs and will be accessible from the in-game menu or, for keyboard players, by pressing the “SHIFT +F1” shortcut on your keyboard.

I've never met anyone who does this. I've never HEARD of anyone who does this. I cannot think of any possible reason WHY anyone would want to do this.

So why is it an option in so many games?

Why do so many games not even offer the option to change the X and Y sensitivity together? For a LOT of games, you have to set both X and Y independently, and make sure that you set them to the same value.

When you can just type in a number, or you can click increase/decrease buttons to advance the numbers, that's fine. But there are some games where it's just sliders, and you have to oh-so-carefully drag each slider, until the readout (which often goes to three digits after the zero) is where you want it.

It's not a huge problem, but I'm just asking: is there even anybody out there, who really wants to have different sensitivities, on each axis?

I'm not judging. I'm just really, really curious.

For those wondering, this is an official government petition with two signature tresholds:

  • 10,000 signatures: government will respond to this petition
  • 100,000 signatures: this petition will be considered for debate in Parliament

Deadline: 16 October 2024

Here's the Stop Killing Games campaign site for those unaware or not from UK.

The Witcher 3 REDkit Playtest (store.steampowered.com)
submitted 1 day ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

The Witcher 3 REDkit is a comprehensive modding tool for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt we're currently developing. It is based on the same set of tools that were used by our developers to create the game and should allow for nearly limitless freedom in modding it. REDkit will be available free of charge for all owners of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC and it's scheduled to release later this year.

Really, really cool that they're doing this so far after release. They got a lot of flak for Cyberpunk but they really do care about their fans.

Unity's Runtime Fee debacle cost it the trust of several indie developers, and led to Slay the Spire 2 being made in Godot.

Really excited for this. Loved everything about Ori and this looks right up my alley as well.

Thought some people might be interested and waiting for the mod.

TL;DW:

  • it was suppose to come out two days before the announced release date of next-gen update for Fallout 4
  • mod release is on hold until all the systems affected by the update can be fixed
  • some of the fixes depend on the mod team, some on other devs (ex. F4SE team)
  • team hoped to put the mod on consoles but won't be able to due to size (around 30-40GB)
  • for the same reason it won't be available on Nexus mods
  • they managed to work out the hosting issues with the help from GOG
  • team hopes to make the mod standalone but that depends on communication with Bethesda
