I agree! I didn't see what transpired beforehand though. Did Tanev do something or did Howden just want to hit him?
No clue. The only other clip I can find is this one, which shows even less context.
I really don't think there was any malintent in that hit. I think he just missed horribly and it ended up being a really bad hit.
That doesn't excuse the hit, though.
