So I got a ~~floppy~~ flippy drive for my GameCube and I wanna have the SD card accessible.

But instead of hacking off the original I thought it would be fun to design my own.

So far I got it to fit well enough. However some dimensions needs adjustments before I start final prints.

If you don't mind me asking, what exactly is the use of a floppy drive on a game cube?

3d printing an IO shield is a great idea! Retro console modding is a great use of a 3d printer.

I think autocorrect got OP. There's a device called a "FlippyDrive" that allows you to run games off an SD card. https://www.crowdsupply.com/team-offbroadway/flippydrive

Yes Flippy Drive (fixed the og post). Ahh gotta love Apple's auto correct

I find it sad that we can’t switch back to the “old” autocorrect. The options are this annoying new version…or nothing. I tried living with nothing for a while and it’s not great.

Other phone OSes allow more freedom of choice.

TIL that exists, I thought you were talking about an actual flippy disk (lower case) until I got here.
