The subscribe button is a bug that should be fixed in the next release. As a work around, if you click any other button in that page, the issue should be fixed. Try it.

Friendly reminder that lemmy is still being actively developed. There will be many performance improvements in the future, as well as UI and whatnot. Stick around, create content and engage with your communities.

Way too long of a Tldr. Can anyone do, say, 2 sentences? And if I like it, I will read the whole thing.

I don't think the scale of what is happening at lemmy.world resembles what is happening on programming.dev. lemmy.world has 82k users. programming.dev has 4.4k. Hopefully more general instances are created, because it seems like people general instances as opposed instances such as mander.xyz and programming.dev. The beauty of decentralization is not being used to its full potential atm, I think.

Lemmy.world is ran by a pro. Dude runs one of the most used mastodon instances. The fact that Programming.dev is stable while .world is not quite so, is purely due to the amount of users. Get 80k on this instance and you will see what happens..

I checked the about page and damn.. It is a for profit company and quite a big team! It consists of 26 people (!) to build a terminal... It is probably going to be a subscription at some point.. Not for me.

I would love if third party apps added a banner linking to Lemmy. That would be great.

There is Thunder: https://github.com/hjiangsu/thunder. You can upvote/downvote, reply and whatnot by doing side-swipes. Pretty neat.

Good. It is important to have different instances to distribute the load though. However, I hope there are not many people joining BeeHaw...

Sublime text! Neovim and the likes just stop being performsnt enough once you start adding extensions and I sort of need a good GUI. Sublime is still unbeatable, sadly.
