It's not enough to just support SteamVR. You also need device drivers, which nobody provides for their headsets on Linux except Valve for the Index and Vive. (Oh yeah, and Oculus had Linux drivers, for the DK1 and DK2, which stopped around when they got picked up by Facebook.)

On Linux your other choices are ALVR or whatever's supported by OpenHMD (positional tracking with OpenHMD is either experimental or missing)

No, it's being worked on but it's not there yet.

OP if you're gonna reference a news story from months ago you should probably link to the news story

I like that the Android app is open source and available on F-Droid and that self hosting is an option, so I pay for premium so I don't have to deal with the hassle of self hosting while I support the developer!

Mobile phones are a disturbance, scientific research shows. We need to protect students against this.

Wish the Guardian would have looked into this at all, researched a bit to see if the data backs this up. I couldn't find much conclusive evidence of a significant impact. For example,

Doesn't say anything about school-provided computers. But paper should not become obsolete, students need to practice digital and physical writing. Can't always count on technology being there for you.

I said "mobile site", as in the website, on a mobile browser.

I left reddit last night and I'm not looking back. Deleted all my posts and logged out.

I have no clue what either of those things are. Can you provide some more context?

Why are people using a site named after the place they purposefully left with just one letter changed?

Believable as in imitates the writing style, sure, but what's the point if it's factually incorrect?

From the article:

The company joins a growing number of media entities experimenting with the technology [...] These trials have already led to a flood of error-laden, plagiarized, and poorly written content due to badly implemented — and, some would argue, inherently unsuited AI models — that still have a strong tendency to make up facts.

Hate on Kotaku all you want but they don't make shit up as often as AI does

Even if you don't have VR hardware or software, you can help by checking reports by other users on Steam/ProtonDB/etc. You can contribute by sending updated info via a comment here or a pull request there!

I do know there's an issue with the Table of Contents not picking up VR Hardware Status and beyond, but I'm not sure how to fix it yet. Something to do with mkdocs or one of its plugins...
