I think most people here dont even use PCs, smartphones are used a lot more than that. And those who use PCs, a majority of them use old hardware forcing them to find alternative operating system (I have experienced this personally and has installed mint on PCs of 6-7 peoples like that). I think old hardware is what pushing them to use linux. Moreover, most geeks use either mac or linux until forced by the company to use windows. Its definitely not a regional thing, as far as reputation is concerned, for normal people its just like windows like people who want to edit files, pp presentations, excel sheets, etc all of it is same as windows due to awesome tools like libreoffice. What else people need mostly? linux GUI has evolved enough to help them for all "normal" use cases, otherwise internet is always there. I think it will continue to grow as a result of recent microsoft F ups and as people become aware.

They have clarified the situation: "You could always report messages from any group to moderators, acts like forwarding. Private chats are still private too – although you could always report a new incoming chat to moderators by using Block > Report. Anyone can check our code and see there were no changes. The FAQ change made it clearer how to report things, including via DSA."

Hi there, I was bored so decided to watch the new Pokémon horizons series featuring new protagonist Liko. I was surprised how good this was, the concept of adventuring without gyms, not too many Pokémon but getting good with few, the characters, the storyline, no annoying team rocket, an even cooler Pikachu (sorry to hurt OG Pikachu fans). Definitely will recommend a watch, I am currently at 40th episode, and it just keeps getting better, the characters are amazing, and the bad guys are really cool too, slightly more competitive than team rocket (expecting them to put even greater fight).

So happy with these result, finally our democracy can breathe! kudos to the opposition that they performed against all odds.

So I had made a post regarding sorting posts not working, but I have noticed another issue where some communities just don't have some older posts. I have tried both on web and on android app, and it's the same, tweaked some settings too. A demo video (GIF) showcasing the problem and my account settings are attached in below Imgur link: https://imgur.com/a/8X8AQpI

Here's what he said in a post on his telegram channel:

🤫 A story shared by Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, uncovered that the current leaders of Signal, an allegedly “secure” messaging app, are activists used by the US state department for regime change abroad 🥷

🥸 The US government spent $3M to build Signal’s encryption, and today the exact same encryption is implemented in WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Google Messages and even Skype. It looks almost as if big tech in the US is not allowed to build its own encryption protocols that would be independent of government interference 🐕‍🦺

🕵️‍♂️ An alarming number of important people I’ve spoken to remarked that their “private” Signal messages had been exploited against them in US courts or media. But whenever somebody raises doubt about their encryption, Signal’s typical response is “we are open source so anyone can verify that everything is all right”. That, however, is a trick 🤡

🕵️‍♂️ Unlike Telegram, Signal doesn’t allow researchers to make sure that their GitHub code is the same code that is used in the Signal app run on users’ iPhones. Signal refused to add reproducible builds for iOS, closing a GitHub request from the community. And WhatsApp doesn’t even publish the code of its apps, so all their talk about “privacy” is an even more obvious circus trick 💤

🛡 Telegram is the only massively popular messaging service that allows everyone to make sure that all of its apps indeed use the same open source code that is published on Github. For the past ten years, Telegram Secret Chats have remained the only popular method of communication that is verifiably private 💪
