I don't enjoy them, I think they're time vampires dragging society into oblivion. I'm glad to deprive any and all content farms of income and that's why I do it.

Tbf Devs are usually massive pieces of shit as well, thousands of over-inflated egos, cutthroat techbros and cynical asset-swappers who hate g*mers more than necessary out there for every one decent fella or lady who's autistic about meshes or render pipelines, but prob works for a Chinese online casino optimizing animation timings for whale click-through.

Great article! What a ride and a deep-dive. Thanks for falling down this rabbit hole so I don't have to. Bit annoying with the robot text though makes using reading mode annoying.

MIDIs of my favourite melodies, some actual music, probably just my favourites from my playlists over the years, ASCII encoded books and ROMs of old games with an emulator

Yeah ofc. I started on 50mg cypro and 6mg estrofem daily about 9 years ago at 17, ordering it to a Christian boarding school I was attending in north england in secret from everyone, especially my conservative russian parents back in my country of origin. Got diagnosed just before COVID, told the shrink-glowie what she wanted to hear and still wanted to deny me but guess she realised not like I was gonna stop. Went legit about two years ago to get SRS on the NHS, switched to patches now, got that srussy, got electro, now been fucking around trying to sort them out as they're trying to discharge me to the GP meanwhile hitting menopause.

My levels DIY were always 0.7nmol/L T and 300+ pmol/L E as god meant it but these doctor cunts always fuck up, when I first switched to their shit I got a T spike and had to fight for deca shots, now I'm fighting to get out of menopause like symptoms. Such bs. Stay DIY if you can then money saved ain't worth the hassle.

Black Ops 2 was so good, especially with that theme by the mass effect guy and the nine inch nails guy

Not this week as I'm taking a bit of a break rn but last week I did a few retired Windows boxes on HtB for the first time and got a little stuck, realized idk jack from shit in Windows, learned KVM /libvirtd /QEMU / virsh (still unsure which is which), set up ssh X forwarding to my headless server and spun up a few VMs for my homelab, after endlessly fighting with virsh over broken permissions since I didn't want vols in my root and only in my home dir or JBOD and relentlessly googling how to make bridged networking and why tf it's so much more difficult than just clicking a button in vbox I used something I learned of called macvtaps to get a Winserver Active Directory DC and several domain member servers up and running with some misconfigurations for me to practice on, plus I've been learning some group policy stuff and in general how things work in the windows world. Along the way I somehow broke networking on my pi real bad so fixed that this week, and also spun up navidrome.

If any instance uses anything akin to cloudflare, Google, a cloud provider or a CDN then this question makes no sense because it's "hosted" all over the world.

Not that it ever made any sense because why would it matter where a website is hosted if it's equally accessible globally? It's not like you have to type a longer URL to hit it from Europe lmfao, and It's not like the internet is some sort of local US thing where you have to hear about it by word of mouth.

I feel like even the prefix -tan is very uncommon to hear these days.
