I think the poll is too confusing with the 5 options of which are all very Similar, to be honest. Actually I'm already not sure what I've voted for and it's just a moment ago πŸ˜…

I would say just do what you think looks the best regards the poll.

Yes that's true.

Initially I wanted to get in contact with people also using Godot show some ideas and best practices I found useful myself. Just to give something back to the community.

But creating such videos is actually more effort as I thought and lately I had not that much time to even do things with Godot. Maybe even felt much uninspired/unmotivated.

I assume she was excited about all the cool stuff you could make with it and found out it was actually just a cake... Would be disappointed too.

Actually I think you should stop thinking about the theoretical pros and cons and just start using Godot for a test project.

Like the simplest game ever. A capsule collider (or the Godot icon if you want to stick to 2D first) running from left to right and jumping over obstacles for example.

You will learn so much while you just figure out how to do stuff and that will probably not take longer than a week. Just think in very small steps like "how to move an object in Godot" or "how to react to user input in Godot" then google this questions and try implementing it for your project.

If at the end you feel like Godot is not for you do a similar project in the next engine and compare the two.

This is kinda specific questions. Can I ask what you want to do with Eye Tracking in Godot?

I don't know any game that is using this.

Yes! I know that it's pronounced Guh-doh / Go-Doh but I always call it Go-Dot like in ".com"

How much confusion can you put in 5 characters?

TMNT for SNES I remember as one of the best Beat'em ups of all time πŸ™‚

Thanks for all the tips.

Yes the joke is definitely on human language and not on programming but I think programmer can be relate here. At least I feel this joke is made in every computer science ground class ever.

Oh yes. The style of river city really looks very similar to my just entirely 2D. Thanks for mentioning this. Will definitely look more into this for reference.

Nice to hear that :) I think it is obvious that the inspiration for this was Streets of Rage but do you know some good but unknown Beat em Up I should look into for reference?
