I agree with this to a certain extent, but it depends on the intention of the programmer. Sometimes if performance is what's needed, it can't be all that readable.

I read the article and was like huh, I'm kinda sad that they shut it down, but I really appreciate it point. I've been wondering a lot ab how this will effect academics and frankly, like most things nowadays, just seems futile.

One of the reasons i started learning rust was bc of how easy it is to get into it, or at least that's how it felt for me. It wasn't until a few months into consistently writing that I started to encounter things that I didn't understand.
