"But you're not considering how valuable this experience will be!"

So much to evade that gap in the resume

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What gap?

I've not been unemployed, I've been under a strict NDA for a very private employer. No, I'm not allowed their share their contact information. Sorry.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hmm yeah don’t do that with any job with decent background checks.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No if you know they're gonna have to check, then you've worked for your cousin Randy at his placeofbusiness doing menialchore related to the industry.

You can confirm this by calling Mr Randolphius McGillecuddy, Esq.

Some background checks will look into your taxes and finances. Cousin Randy needs to be organised and rich.

Oh bollocks. How do I cancel the voicemail I left Randolphilus.

Do not let this person split up a bill for your restaurant party, folks

(I'm only joking, but I think you did the math the wrong way, $500x12=$6k)

Edit: yep.I'm an idiot, thanks folks, my poor example will stand as a testament to others, don't shame yourself publicly like this and pay attention in school!

$500 per week - 500x48=24k with 4 weeks of thankfully "unpaid" vacation

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

United States

4 weeks of vacation

Lol

If the employee “works” every day of the year they earn -$26000

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

My longest vacation was 3 months.*

* …after I got laid off.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It's per week.

500 x 4 = 2000/month

2000 x 12 = 24k

By all means i'd love to split restaurant bills with you ;)

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago

There are 52 weeks in a year not 48. 500 x 52 = 26000.

Oh I made the stupid mistake and projected it outwards lol, my bad, I apologize and edited my post

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Easy mistake to make. Also words can not describe my admiration and respect for someone who can leave a comment like this up with a humble edit.

I might double check your math if we split the cheque, but unlike 99% of the people on the internet, I already can tell that I would WANT to have a supper with you.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (4 children)

How many weeks are there in a year?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago

Well I planned for 12 apparently, so I guess I demand a lot of vacation time. I call it the Job Creator schedule.
