The stock app converts my longer texts into a URL with broken text, which is frustrating. I used to use Signal until they dropped SMS support. Any good alternatives?

I read that The Internet Archive is having financial and legal troubles, despite being one of the most important projects on the internet.

Are there other projects that can be supported by "computing power"?

Is this a thing because ive been trying to get into gamedev but i cant code at all and ive been trying for so long now but i just cant. I know theres godot but there visual scripting makes so sense and can be strange at times.

ive seen people create games with ai but i feel like that kinda ruins the point of gamedev. Im not even sure why i want to make a game but i just do for some reason.

by chance do you have any suggestions or things you would like to add.

Beta testflight for iOS https://testflight.apple.com/join/owwIagmV

Base macOS build: https://github.com/neatia/Lemur/releases

I have yet to test this on M-Series Macs, as I still use Intel. Will still be able to provide fixes once I can source potential bugs (but most likely there shouldn't be any special to M~)

Hello Lemmy,

InvidTUI is a cross platform Invidious client, which can:

  • Browse, play and download YouTube audio and video
  • Create, save and open m3u8 playlists
  • Interactively switch between instances
  • Change video and album art resolutions
  • View and manage user feed, playlists and subscriptions

Among many other features.

In addition to the above, it also has a menu system, so that users need not remember all the keybindings, and instead select the required option from the menu to perform the desired operation.

This release contains the following new features:

  • A HJSON based configuration format, where you can define custom keybindings as well
  • Faster JSON parsing, thanks to jsoniter
  • Create new folders and rename items within the filebrowser
  • Automatically or manually configure the download directory from within the application
  • Change thumbnail quality

I hope you enjoy this release, and any feedback is appreciated.

Any recommendations for a splitwise equivalent for android? An initial search on fdroid only shows apps last updated in 2019. "Split it easy" lacks the ability to split bills paid by multiple people. I also liked the ability to use foreign currency in splitwise.

I'm thinking about creating a separate Mastodon account for promoting my game engine, and I'm looking for a suitable instance.

My game engine is open-source, so both gamedev and opensource-related instances would be good.

Is there a free alternative to Google Sites that's open source? I want one with free custom domains, not subdomains.

There used to be XClipper

But it's not developed anymore because, according to the developer Kaustubh Patange:

with Android 10, Google removed clipboard monitoring through the background process. [...] After quite a lot of research, I discovered a hack that enables clipboard monitoring for Android 10 devices. Although this feature is still in BETA with lot's of functionality missing. I made this project open source so developers can contribute their solution to this project.

What happened with this "hack" and the findings of Mr. Patange?

Did Android simply kill the possibility of such a sync function?

Microsoft's own Android Keyboard Swiftkey (yea I know, but I really need some functions of it) allows the syncing of clipboard content between Android and Windows. However, I heard that it's bad security and privacy practice to even enable clipboard history on Windows. I disabled it and use CopyQ.

However, it would be super nice to see something like XClipper for Android/Windows.

Any chance?

Available at your local GNU mirror and, depending on your OS, perhaps soon your favorite package manager repository. A full list of features and changes can be found in the NEWS file.
