ApocalypticArt - where the remnants of humanity's past meet the promise of an uncertain future. This is the place for apocalyptic wastelands, remains of once-thriving metropolises and forgotten relics of a bygone era.

Always credit the original artist when creating a new post!

A good title format that's used on [email protected] is: Image title by Artists Name, so let's use that here, too.

Provide a link to the image source or the artists' gallery / social media account(s).

Posting your own work is allowed and encouraged, but please let the community breathe and don't spam.

Don't post AI-generated art, since the legal situation regarding ownership is very shady.

All artworks are copyright of the artists named in the posts. Artists gallery links may contain NSFW works.

Source: Relic of mankind by JeromeComentale

Hi there !
Here is a new project!
I wanted to work on some post apo again and it was a real pleasure!
Here, I wanted to represent the image of our current society. The factories, the work, the exploitation, the environment, ... which leads us straight to our destruction. I wanted to represent this shameful relic of humanity.
It was a very interesting subject to work on!
I really hope you'll like it!

This is the road of Dust.

I'm reading Hal Duncan's "Vellum", which is an eclectic fantasy/alternate world/cross-dimensional hypertale which makes my brain crackle like St. Elmo's fire on ayahuasca.

I like it a lot. Highly recommend reading it.

This is the first image I did from the book, I hope to be able to make some more.

An apocalyptic rendition of the city where I currently live, which is Kuching. The mighty Sarawak river has long dried out, filled to the brim with all manner of debris and derelicts.

Kuching is the capital of the Sarawak state within Malaysia.

Source: Dangerous assignment (by Andrew Andreev - ArtStation)

The work is done for the contest "The End of Civilization" RENDER.RU.
Soon, after the erupted, unknown catastrophe that devastated the city, a group of experienced soldiers, on orders from the government, go on a mission, to the very heat, to the place where until recently, a kind of annihilation raged. The world has never come across such a phenomenon. They have to land at the outskirts of a dilapidated city and move deeper to find out what could happen and with what disaster human civilization once again collided.

Source with work process: Foreign Lands (by Gabriel Björk Stiernström - ArtStation)

Personal artwork.
I used this piece to try and learn and explore new techniques to optimize my workflow. The inspiration for the piece is also very scattered among a lot of different universes and stories.
I've also been a part of a art-group who helped with very valuable feedback with this piece and I thank you!
