Trine 2! It’s a side-scrolling action/puzzle platformer, and a rare game actually made for 3.

With respect to data, there does seem to be a damning amount of it in the CFPB dataset they analyzed for the article. The fact that approvals were this disproportionate even when accounting for “income, debt-to-income ratio, property value, downpayment percentage, and neighborhood characteristics” is alarming. Specifically with respect to income, approval for lowest-quartile whites exceeded that of highest quartile blacks. Yes, credit score was not available in the dataset, but we know it doesn’t fully explain the gap because of its frequency as a cited reason for denial, and reliance on credit doesn’t really do much to dig NFCU out of this hole IMO.

I’m tempted to agree with the authors assessment that the use of automated tools by the underwriters is a likely contributor. Use a tool trained on historically racist data and practices, and that’s what you’ll get more of.

We’ve been ignoring the Dakotas for too long, they are spreading at an alarming rate!

As someone returning to make simple web UIs after a long stint in backend, and not wanting to learn a heavy JS framework, this is massively useful. CSS has gotten a lot of new tricks since I last checked!

I use wire label stickers. This is exactly what they exist for and will be under $10. I have the Klein Tools numbered stickers because my priority was matching ends in a large bundle, not adding informative labels. But the majority of products let you write your own label.

Rather than self host, I switched to Protonmail. I use a custom domain with catchall addresses enabled, so I can have an arbitrary number of email addresses grouped by what service it relates to, along with plenty of filtering and organization rules. So far it’s been nothing but upside, honestly.

Won’t claim to know what’s going on in your particular case, but when I had something similar the biggest game changer was when a barber advised me to get a brush that could exfoliate my scalp. Get a nice sturdy boar bristle brush, like are often marketed for beards (mine is the ZEUS brand on Amazon). You don’t have to scrub like crazy, just go with the grain a few strokes all over, daily to start with. I only use it about once a week now and have had no buildup for years. This post actually made me realize that I forgot how bad it used to be!

YMMV. I know it’s a good step down for some folks, especially as you can get carts with decreasing levels of nicotine. But in my case, the accessibility of vaping (which I did inside and in smaller more frequent doses, unlike how I smoked) set me back a bit and I felt like I started quitting all over again.

Last.fm used to be my solution for this. It connects to a variety of players and just handles the tracking/recommendation/discovery aspect. No idea how it stacks up to current algorithm offerings though, I haven’t used it since Spotify launched Discover Weekly. But I suppose if the subscription services aren’t cutting it you could add this on top.
