That's ridiculously exaggerated and you know it.

At first I read hamsters there instead of hammers :-) glad I misread that. I like tossing stuff as well, and have the same experience catching knives or other dangerous objects, it's weird how you can catch them pretty reliably.
They specifically mention it's on the protocol level which would imply it's doing more than just blocking some ports. Not sure why you'd think China could pull that off but it would be infeasible for Russia?
It would be useful to get some more info.

how did you install the drivers?

what do you mean by lightdm doesn't work?

can you get some logs from a terminal? Like journalctl -xe? If your gui isnt coming up you could get these from tty1 by using ctrl+alt+f1.
I haven't used nvidia in a long time but use debian daily. I'd expect if you installed the drivers using a supported method it would do stuff like initramfs etc automatically if required.
I'm sure you already found this but just in case here is the official documentation; https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers
Nice example!
I think proxying everything through lemmy would have a pretty big bandwidth/scalability impact. I expect the lemmy clients dont send any unique user info on these image requests so not sure how useful it would be as a spy pixel? Maybe I'm missing something :-)
It is an option in Sync for Lemmy at least.
I can hide nsfw posts with sync for lemmy.
Dev has confirmed multiple times that trackers are not even initialized if you pay to remove the ads.
For me getting back into LEGO really helped, it's a nice and relaxing activity. Also depending on your interests a hobby like flying FPV quadcopters can be a lot of fun. Forces you to go outside too which is always good :-)
We've been using CheckMK for years, even before it was conveniently packaged as OMD, and I would definitely recommend it. We use SaltStack and have a hook on VM deploys/destroys where it adds/removes from monitoring automatically, works great for us.
There was some talk on Discord about making the pricing regional, no idea on timeline though. But it does not sound reasonable if that's half a monthly entry salary for you!
I'm getting more and more convinced that this is not a game for me. The way you interact with the laptop shown in this update feels super lame to me for a VR game. Compared to bomb defusal in Pavlov this is a huge step back. Combined with their stance on manual reloads and the inclusion of in game currency and grinding for weapon upgrades this is probably a pass for me until it gets a huge discount.
