So what I'm seeing is that we need more electric vehicles!

Finally. Sorry, I'm going to say this in English since I will be here all day trying to make the German understandable.

Thank you everyone that is part of the German Lemmy community. As someone who is casually trying to learn German, your memes are a magnificent aide. But also each and every one of you are amazing. Any time you see me write something badly, you take the time to explain how to improve and that means so much to me. You're a marvelous bunch of really kind, generous and funny people and that's reflected in the census results as you can see the growth. It's something you built and deserve. Congratulations!

Having a demilitarized zone is hilarious

No one in government has a conscience. The idea that just because we're only responsible for 1% of the weapons, it's not a big deal is ridiculous. Especially when we're providing coordinates for them to bomb innocent civilians.

In the next version or the one after that, I believe it will default to your browser/system language. The undetermined language thing isn't actually good for anyone.

Least of all, people finding communities in their tongue.

If Sync ever updates, I hope it adds language to the post form.

Wait, that's a thing? People are using them without paying?

Wasn't it 30/350 licenses?

And Israel likes to cite these 1200 deaths while neglecting the fact that they've killed over 40000 Palestinians in retaliation and taken the opportunity to plunder the land.

The only thing shameful is that the UK continues to turn a blind eye.

  1. Matrix has nothing to do with the Fediverse.
  2. Given that they'll regularly push updates of Element to the Play Store without tagging releases on their repository, effectively leaving F-Droid users without releases and with a clogged up Play Store, I'm unsure why you're surprised at the lack of sense of duty to users.
  3. There is no real three.

I don't understand why Greenwich likes to drag their heels. With all the parks and commons in the borough, they should've been at the forefront of getting this rubber stamped.

So I finally got to ride one and wow they can really go. My favourite feature is probably the worst feature and that's that you can leave them anywhere. However what I didn't realise until actually riding one, is that the app asks you to take a picture of where and how you parked the bike when you're finished and then potentially punishes people who don't park the bikes properly. They can clearly enforce that more. But now I'm of the opinion that the local councils need to provide more bike parking. One or two parking spots at the end of every road would be enough. Being someone that lives in a hilly area, I don't really bother with bikes, but with the electric motors on the Lime bikes, I would ride everywhere and happily switch from Ubers if they were officially operating in my borough. Anyway, they're really really fun and I'm really looking forward to them redressing the balance of cars in London. For short journeys, they're perfect and the more people that access them, the fitter the city will be.
