Although I expect they really aren't in this film.
The fact that they aren't in the film implies that it's not going to be a grounded street-level story like many fans were hoping. But I could be wrong.

Dogs have dichromatic vision, meaning they can distinguish colors like blue and yellow, but they have trouble seeing colors like red and green.
The Fireplace Cinematic Universe is severely underrated.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the 4K transfers of Aliens, True Lies, and The Abyss.

The point is, there's a lot of factors that go into whether or not a movie is successful. Just "being a good movie" isn't enough, especially not in this economy where people don't go to the movies as much as they used to.
A movie needs both a strong marketing campaign and a great story to be successful.
