Nothing is stopping people from downloading whatever chat app they want to use. EU has done that.

Pretty simple concept to understand but we’re posting in Lemmy, a liberal safe space. They won’t get it.

They will though when Trump is elected again because Americans are tired of letting hundreds of thousands to millions of migrants enter our country when we can’t provide for the downtrodden Americans that have been paying taxes all their life.

If you’re a normal functioning human being then seeing less political news on social media is a good thing.

Differentiating yourself on privacy and offering paid for tools for privacy that in reality make your privacy worse than if you did nothing at all. Mozilla keeps on bumbling towards inevitable demise.

I’ll get downvoted for saying that because of Lemmy’s demographic, but it’s true and deep down you all know it. Look at how Arc is innovating with new browser features. That’s what we always wanted Firefox to be doing, but Mozilla is content with sucking from Google’s tit.

What existing rules? The rules designed for 19th/20th century oil companies that don’t apply to modern tech companies?

New rules are being written.

Apple could play in the game with a different set of rules

They’re playing a different game because they’re the ones who built the ballpark they’re playing in. Don’t like the game? Don’t go to the ballpark.

It’s so exhausting how you people simply can’t accept “don’t buy Apple” and leave it alone.

Never said they didn’t.
