I've recently been on a nostalgia trip replaying MSFS 2002, I love the flat cockpits, as goofy as they are.

Xmas was never intended to be a more secular alternative, it was originally created by scribes wanting to save space so they used the first letter of Christ in Greek, "Χριστός".

Half-life’s Xen levels are particularly infamous for this sort of thing. There’s a reason the Black Mesa remake overhauled it.

The Adventure menus can be fully operated with the mouse or keyboard, or whichever mix works for you, which is why you still see traditional roguelike letters next to each item.

This makes me very happy, I'm still upset that Fortress Mode can't be fully keyboard operated

Dwarf Fortress kinda counts as a survival game right? Easily that for me.

 

I'm honestly really surprised at how decently it can run on my fairly crappy laptop 😅
