We are not allowing memes to be posted still, just inside this post itself as comments to hopefully avoid removing meme posts. We have had to remove multiple meme posts since the controversy began, hoping to alleviate that.
L3s
Oh gotcha, it is unfortunate non-mods/non-admins are not able to see in the mod logs for who is doing what on LW. If you were able to though, you would see Enu and myself are very active, even though we are not commenting or posting. Same for report resolutions, we get a good amount of reports (false and positive) that we have to weed through throughout the day, those are not publicly viewable (and shouldn't be).
~~But that is what I did not get, in the mod logs you can see the community is being actively moderated even though you can't see who is doing what.~~
Edit:
enu is the only inactive mod I found.
Also, I'd like to apologize for misreading the above. Initially I thought this said "is the only active mod". Enu has multiple accounts, which would make sense on why you'd think they're inactive
Hey @[email protected], not sure which spam you are referring to, but I am one of the mods of [email protected] and we do our best to remove any spam we see or that is reported.
That being said, there have been times when articles get posted that people report as "spam" that we do not deem to be. If you could provide an example of one we have not removed, I will review it with the other mod and figure out why we did not remove the post/comment - but typically this happens because of the above.
Not sure where this confusion came from, but that is not true, I am also an active mod there.
Thanks, I'll fix it later this week!

I must be missing something, or it was edited out? Unless you're talking about this from the title:
'a Saudi teacher got death sentence over tweets'
When looking through the mod log, this title does not show for the last month.
I don't see this in the mod log, what was the title? It most likely was removed for not being tech related, which makes sense based off this article.
Definitely something I plan on adding, I’ve also been removing ones that I see or get reported here
Not a problem, send me a PM, I can either point L4s at those communities or help you figure out the best way to do it!
Edit: that goes for any community mod, I want Lemmy to thrive and would love to help
@[email protected]'s operator here, and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
Like the majority of content bots on Lemmy, L4s utilizes Reddit for its posts, and I've been working on adding a few RSS feeds to branch things out more and better abide with the newer bot rules.
As for "choosing" what to post, it currently checks the most upvoted posts for selected subreddits and the up/down vote ratio, then if it matches the set threshold it will check if it has posted that link before, as long as everything lines up it will post.
Initially I had it set to once an hour on this community, things here gained a lot of traction a month later so I scaled it back to every other hour. In the near future I will be limiting it again to every 3 or 4 hours as we have continued to grow since last months decrease in posts.
As it says in the bio, the goal with L4s is to jump start communities, it won't be here forever. If you have an issue please let me know!
Also thanks for the tag @[email protected]!
I don't disagree, but easy solution would be not to look at this one post? Anything else as far as memes will be removed if posted
