Can we clarify what "not much different" means? I'm not mad at this guy for calling people names...

Your example is unambiguously plural. It's not a good illustration of "they" creating confusion.

It's truly not a problem. I could contrive a reason to talk about a couple (they plural) and a nonbinary person (they singular) and end up with sentences where you don't know which I'm referring to, but the exact same issue happens if I'm telling a story about two "he" or "she" subjects. And it's solved in the same way.

I think you're making assumptions that I can read into what exactly you find wrong with Tiktok. That context is not there in the original comment.

You guys know trains and planes exist. And you're not so daft you fully invented the part where I said tear apart all roads and destroy all cars.

My point might be a little Covid brain fogged but I'm just pointing out that they did exactly what the guy asked for, if they bothered to click past the title which makes it sound like a targeted "ban Tiktok" law.

You're not being realistic if you think we can't beat car dependency, or we have to completely eliminate cars from society. We need to eliminate the system that ensures that cars are the only option, something everyone is forced to own because they make everything else far less safe and convenient. That is a choice that is repeatedly and consistently made in favor of car dominance over humans, and it shouldn't be.

Congratulations! You have now opened up the navigation tab, giving you convenient access to the many info and control screens for vehicle functions!

Your next press will take you to the climate menu (if you hit the right spot this time) where you can browse a complicated set of icons and visual aids we made way too stylish and modern to understand at a glance. Eventually I'm sure you'll figure out the very intuitive way that you can change the direction of AC airflow by swiping near the digital version of your vent and staring at it the whole time because there's no feedback on how far you're moving it except for the subtle, minimalist misty lines coming off the graphic~

AFAIK it's air cooled, but lacking your usual liquid cooling loop. The temps will drop as you drive, but not enough to overcome the heat added by fast charging and bring the pack down to allow another rapid charge session at full speed.

It's fine generally - what I've heard is the only issue caused by the air cooling is heavily throttling fast charge rate eventually on a long enough trip, but it does basically grind road trips to a near halt.

Can confirm, just bought a top of the line 2022 Leaf with 33k miles on it. All the bells and whistles of a new $40k car, even warranty, and thanks to the used EV credit, got it under $15k.

It just makes so much more sense. Even if it's not the ideal car due to the aging CHADEMO standard and lack of battery cooling, the low cost of ownership and many nice features make it a great stepping stone until the market sorts itself out.

People always said COBRA is too expensive but I had no clue how bad it could possibly be. Turns out, $1200 a month for the cheapest option for a married couple in my case. And I didn't get that information in spite of repeated asking for months before I left, until I was nearly out the door.

This compared to the marketplace plans starting around $600, similarly decent plans to my work one in the realm of $800 and the APTC covering almost all of that cost if I'm not making too much money self-employed. COBRA is a joke.

Star Wars is an awkward example because it's already pretty well tainted itself with mediocre films.

But yes, unironically I would actively stop looking for the shreds of good among the carnage that is the once-beloved franchise if I knew its creator, whose name is still tied to it and who financially benefits at least from the propagation of successful entries under that IP, would be just a little bit more able to get their awful views out there thanks to that success.
