Mitch McConnell made a statement of how stupid and damaging a shutdown would be for them. I would bet she is just listening to the wise turtle.

Then why does it seem like most specialized doctors and or dentists lean that way?

To think he would have been Obama's shining SC pick...

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Yeah, but he somehow marketed the hell out of it. It was somewhere down in the top 100 of the reading list before college.

He employs a known rapist in a managerial role... so yeah, weird is an understatement.

Because there had never been a coup with a country that has an air force

I feel like at that point you might as well put a few cannons on the boat.

They were also the major company that got caught in the scandal of buying dead peasant insurance.

It does? What does it search?

Postdate them lol

Too bad they won't terrorize the billionaires funding these people. The conservative organization is just a hydra of grifters.

Fun fact, this is like one of the only ways you can permanently lose mail delivery... although it's admittedly rare. I think the carrier has to start the complaint.

How fast could the average person whose in peak physical shape run on the moon, without the limits of current technology? I mean suit, but like a wetsuit with only a small helmet, and athletic shoes.

I guess my title kind of puts it all out there. I am looking to collect spellbooks, Journals and the likes from those who are insane, or have mental health issues. What's the easiest way to purchase them, and how do you even find them?

Fame or notoriety do not matter to me. I am just looking for scripts/texts written by neural atypical people that are related to the occult..

At first I thought estate sales would be a good way to find this... but heirs tend to destroy/hide or sell that stuff on the secondary market as to not taint the value of the other property.

Edit: I wondering if some internet archiving could help find threads to look for.

Juicy Juice among other brands touts "100% juice" however if you leave it undisturbed for months on the shelf it never seems to develop any sediment. How can they be 100% juice and not have any solids? What exact process are they using to remove all the sediment and or perfectly homogenize the liquid? You will notice other shelf stable 100% juice brands tend to have a sediment, how do the large brands get around that, while still being pure juice? Is there an FDA definition of "Juice"?

Sorry, this seemed to turn into many questions.

For whatever reason about a week ago, the Jerboa app stopped opening links. It used to open up in Chrome, but now it just opens Chrome to the last page I was on and doesn't load the link.

I am not sure what to do, I don't even want it to use Chrome as the default browser launcher, but I see no place to change it. Anyone know how I can fix this?

I am curious if one, something like this exists, and two what the cost might be? I am looking for a screen, I assume an e-ink is the best/cheapest option and I want it to be as close as possible to the size of a playing card, ideally not thicker than 2MM. But I think up to 5mm could work.

Basically the idea is to use and or eventually create very thin cheap e-reader screens to make programmable playing card games. I have no idea if the screens are even that small, when I go to look for them I get results that are very far from what I am looking for.

Anyone know if what I want exists, and if not, if it would even be possible to manufacture for cheap?

Edit: I wonder how hard it would be to repurpose something like this?

The idea is that all the "cards" would be inserted into a carring case that acts as a dock to update the cards. Once you pick your game, all of the cards refresh to whatever game you picked. I would want to make the games open so anyone can design a game for people to play.

I had to squat over a urine covered toilet seat and had the titled thought...

Is it possible with one of the Lemmy apps to display how many times I have upvoted a previous user's comments?

Is there a reader app that is accessible on Android for comic books? Is there some sort of free repository of every comic book? (I assume not.)

I used to be in the small beer business and I can tell you that 95% of the time a microbrewery randomly has a raspberry or strawberry or blueberry ot whatever offering its almost without fail a beer that has gone "off" when fermenting. A beer being "off" won't make you sick or anything, but it does impart a harsh flavor, many times it will be bacto infection that hints towards vinegar. Smaller breweries don't want to toss whole cycles (shortsighted, I know), so instead they dump massive amounts of fruit flavorings to cover it up. Or turn it into a "shandy"

I implore you all to stop purchasing any seasonal shandys or fruit beers that they don't regularly advertise. The whole thing is a bruise on the industry.

Edit: Some people are interpreting this to say that fruit beers are bad, or are all repurposed. The point is just buyer beware, it's an incredibly common way to save batches that don't taste right.

And yeah... most small brewers despise brett and adjacent bacterias, with a passion... it's just stupid invasive in any system that isn't all metal and glass, and even then still can somehow find it's way.
