What's a spoonerism?

...Has anyone tried to consume it, or observed anything else consuming it? The page doesn't seem to have anything on that...

Does the underground lake lead to a deeper chamber with yet another underground lake?

Have you been following your heart? If not the most, the moist may at least be there.

Aside from personally posting more regularly there, any advice or ideas for getting [email protected] going? Had a few people early on posting and even some people beside myself replying to them, but it rapidly trailed off from there and felt a little too much like I was only using it for myself.

Started to make other types of post to help show it's as much for sharing as asking, but while the posts had some passive positive attention, it didn't net much more activity.

Libraries don’t allow noise.

Have you been to your local libraries lately to check on this? I know it's one of those details libraries are well known for, but some libraries are more relaxed about this, so long as events aren't going on or you're not being so loud as to be a disturbance to others.

It may seem weird to ask, but next time you visit your library you might find a way to ask if they're the shush sort of library or an in-door voices are okay sort (supposing they don't already have signage to tell you which).

Linkin, trains, and nobody's mentioning Lincoln Logs?

Doesn't the Earth deserve the occasional pizzafice?

Appreciate the example! It's when handling a DHCP range and the related CIDR notation that I tend to get especially muddled in this area. It certainly doesn't help that each router's interface and terminology tends to vary just enough to add uncertainty.

Regardless, the comments here and more focus on this have helped clear some of this up for me.

Thanks for some detail! What you describe reassures me in my decision not to get further into it, particularly as a professor path seemed one of few traditional options with what I studied.

Are doctorate/grad school programs distinctly competitive? My impression was that they were more challenging but similar in nature to undergrad insofar as loads of coursework to stay on top of to complete courses and ensure you got some of the most expensive, "You endured it!" paperwork in the world.

...How are they able to continue providing these but not maintain the Bridge Access Program for the uninsured? 🤨

Asking for clarification as what I've read suggests yes, but is also sometimes coupled with advice to (still?) set a static IP outside of the DHCP address range as well.

Thanks in advance!

For admins and moderators, keeping the comment counts including bot comments visible (especially in a moderators' own communities) may be valuable, but not sure if it's all that valuable for ordinary users.

Would it be possible to make it so bot comments don't add to the counts for regular users, or at least for those that have disabled the display of bot posts/comments? As-is seeing an indication of a comment for a post only for it to turn out to be a bot is slightly disappointing at best, and mildly confusing at worst when their display has been disabled.

Looking at you various USB cables with subtly different capabilities.

By adult I mean over 18-20 years of age and with adult appearances. Nothing against anime with younger characters, but interested in finding some with older characters.

as an aside, here's a fun thread from awhile ago by someone else: What are some underrated careers/jobs?

p.s. leaving this open-ended per community theme, we can get into specifics in comments!
