The mod's just very well done but it's amazing how well the base game translates to VR. Talk about standing the test of time when your 2004 video game can be modded into VR pretty much seamlessly and then blow Triple and Double-A games that are specifically made for VR out of the water

EDIT: Thinking about it, Half Life 2 and it's consequences have been insanely culturally influential in the greater sphere. I mean from Gmod Youtube-Poops over to SFM all the assets are still relevant now due to skibidi toilet, and they're nearing 20 years old now.

I learned how to navigate by compass and map from Arma on the account of you kind of need to, to play certain game modes.

I have never learned shit from "educational" games because they all fail at being games. They're tests with some graphics added, that shit is boring and nobody cares, there's no incentive.

Under FALGSOC, every game would teach you at least one skill

EDIT: I learned Sneaking from Gothic because to sneak in that game you have some guy explaining it to you and that came in very handy as a teenager

Many people don't even think of the concept because it's not available for cars on the basis of being illegal, but it's perfectly fine to use for bicycles and can be freely purchased.

If you're driving a car you have the obligation to drive safely, especially as it concerns to vulnerable road users. Shit infrastructure, that encourages dangerous situations, is something you should fight so driving isn't so stressfull, it's not an excuse for you to endanger other people.

I've put about 10 hours in so far and from the macro-routefinding to the micro-route finding, considering what supplies you want to bring / have to bring, the wear and tear of things and such it does a really good job around gamifying the experience of bicycle touring, even if it doesn't actually have bicycles.

Kinda wanna know if other people have this experience. I noticed if I'm on my bog-standard boring bike on my commute, people are absolute fucking dicks with overtaking, trying to squeeze in front and such.

If I'm on my singlespeed with a messenger bag, that gets a lot better for some reason and people give me more space.

On the touring bike it's a mixed bag, allthough it seems that both the area becoming more touristy, like rolling hillsides, or I look absolutely out of place, like in city centers, people also get nicer.

I get the feeling that it's down to perception. Commute-bike-7bicycles is an elitist rich twat who can afford to live near work and has no obligations and such. Singlespeed-7Bicycles has a U-Lock in reach and doesn't look afraid to use violence, like all the crazy bike messengers, touring-7bicycles in aforementioned areas is just fulfilling some sort of dream, like we all have.

Is there merit to this? What are other possible explanations?

Useful if you ride in urban areas, as air pumps fitting for schrader valves are plenty because like every car uses them, sclaverand or even dunlop - not so much. Just screws on, fill tyre, go about your way

Are they high quality? Nah, wouldn't really use this in a workshop setting. But to put on your keychain or something in the event you might need it? Pretty good! And they're cheap enough if you find a miserable soul with a slow leak who didn't plan ahead you can just give it to them
