You're a couple hours late for it, but I just finished watching the CCTV Chinese New Year livestream broadcast for the first time and it was really cool. Apparently the whole country tunes in to watch this show and it's like a variety show with a bunch of music and dancing and other performances. Maybe you can find a recording of it.

I'm Canadian, but I recently started dating a Chinese girl. We watched it and texted eachother as it was on. It was super interesting, even though I barely understood any of it. Music and dancing are pretty universal though, you can definitely get the vibe of a lot of it just by watching. Plus there was one performance that I did understand because it was in French (plus it was a song from a musical I've seen before). Highly recommend checking it out, it was an interesting window into the culture.

Yeah I've been checking in on this since about '03 or so, it's a trip. The original guy has since died, it's being run by one of the few disciples he made. Near as anyone can tell, he was absolutely serious about it, and actually tried to debate people. There's a pretty great Wikipedia entry on it here: Wikipedia - Time Cube

Well this is like a slice of the Old Web.

This website probably has an owner who has a bunch of signs in the front yard and a car covered in stickers. (Looking up the address in the registration nets a normal house, so much for that stereotype)

Looking up “endangered noob productions LLC” from the bottom of the page gets you the registration info, a non-existent website, and the registration location.

Huge smattering of “services” by ENP depending on which site you view, from IT to motion pictures.

Funny enough, they even mention the fediverse.

Oh man, that’s a blast from the past. I remember that from Usenet days in the early-mid 90s or something. So, like 15 years ago.
