Regardless, a good wife should regularly check her husband's prostate.

We need to stop calling physicians doctors outside an academic setting.

Generally, PSA levels are higher in men with metastatic prostate cancer. However, in rare cases, it’s possible to have a low PSA even if a patient has metastatic disease. For these patients, disease progression is better measured in other ways, such as through imaging tests and biomarker tools.

Approximately 80 percent to 85 percent of all prostate cancers are detected in the local or regional stages, which represent stages I, II and III.

As always, corruption and cover-up is totally possible. But never believe anything these fuckers say, for any reason. Ever. Especially when you can see the obvious bad faith in front of your eyes.

They're not telling you anything because they want you to know the truth. They're telling you because they want you to look away. Look back, and realize we have more important things to deal with.

If he had his diagnosis while in office they would have given him treatments and probably a surgery, they wouldn't have delayed it, the original message is pretty freaking dumb...

Even if she was, she wouldn't be his oncologist, or even PCP. Why would she be examining him for cancer?

"They're supposed to know these things mkay? So much for woke liberal medicine!"

Well, checking for testicular and breast cancer can be a mutually enjoyable process... Not sure you want that particular mental image for this case, though.

I'll pay you to check my prostate for cancer as well

This doctor outrage was easily one of the top dumbest fucking things to ever come out of the USA. And of course it was all the right wing conservative people lmao. It's just one thing after the other with these people. If they're not angry that kids are learning Arabic numerals in school, they're busy choosing 1/4 pounder burgers over 1/3 pounder burgers. But the doctor thing is definitely one for the hall of fame.

I feel like there is a gram of actual concern here, not enough to be a broken clock sorta situation for the regressive party, but the health of the president has, I feel, become a political matter.

This diagnosis isnt something that appears in this short amount of time (Im not a medical professional, please correct me if im wrong) and likely would have been caught back when he was in office. Given his age, it would feel like malpractice not to at least check for it. Unless they admit that the public report of the presidents health is different from the one they get private, this is a catch-22 and breaks the public trust of the doctors who care for the most important person in the country.

It would be more than concerning under any other administration, but your right, we expect the current one is just going to tell him that golden arches is the elixir of life and the public that he can ace the presidential fitness test (including the pacer).

I feel like if he left Dr. Biden's name out of it and just quoted that and said something to the effect of "The most powerful politician in the United States has some of the best medical care available in the world. If this cancer is at this point, now, they must have known through his presidency. The American People deserve to know if their President is terminally ill!" it would have made some sense.

I mean, it would still be wrong, but it wouldn't be idiotically wrong.

joe Biden has now been diagnosed with terminal 7

I like how Grok is just an ongoing self-own for the right, because they don't understand it well enough to make it say the things they want it to say.

Grok's unprompted mentions of white genocide in South Africa accompanied by unprompted explanations that it's being forced to talk about white genocide in South Africa were comedy gold.

[–] [email protected] 102 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

though some debate its use for non-medical fields.

Those "some" are the ones who don't know that "doctor" has been used to refer to academics for literally hundreds of years and that its usage to refer to physicians has only been relatively recently.

Of course, I'm assuming the venn diagram of those people and the people who don't know why Jill Biden is a doctor is just one solid circle.

Fuck Twitter and fuck Grok, but that is a note perfect example of using the tools of our oppressors against our oppressors.

Except for the last half of the last sentence, which undercuts the entire point by giving weight ignorant dipshits like Donnie Jr who don't understand what a doctorate is. There is zero reason to point out that some people disagree when those people are blatantly wrong.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 hours ago

Oh my gosh I didn't realize the tweet was from Donald jr. I thought it was just some random internet idiot. This is worse somehow.

There is no such thing as stage 5 cancer.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 hours ago

There is. Once the cancer has spread and kills the host, the cancer transform into MAGAts.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 hours ago

I really wish it was just “dumb trump.” But it’s more likely that’s on purpose so idiots searching for stage 5 cancer don’t find results and think it’s part of some deep state lib coverup as project 2025 guts their social safety nets

[–] [email protected] 21 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Because clearly Dr Jill has been giving her husband prostate exams
