Oh thank goodness! Until now, I’ve had to reach in there and check with my hand!

First try boosting a lemmy post in mastodon. That's pretty neat

What is this, a crossover episode?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

My first comment here was a reply on mastodon with my mastodon account. I tried replying to your comment (which shows up in my mastodon feed), but apparently it doesn't carry over child comments. (So here's a comment from my lemmy account)

What do you mean? Boosting? Is there a new feature I'm not aware of?

@onlinepersona That was a post on lemmy, but I hit the "re-toot" or "boost" button here on mastodon.

My first reply was even carried over from mastodon to the lemmy post (you can see it over in the OP link) as a comment

Federation is neat, hadn't done a cross-platform protocol use like that before

Interesting, thank you. I was unfamiliar with the term "boost" and thought it was a new Lemmy feature. After rereading it's a mastodon feature.

Now, if Lemmy could create posts/yoos on mastodon, that would be amazing!

I know some people involved with ISS life support stuff that might genuinely like this lmao

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago

Oh man my friend is going to shit a (happy) brick if people actually involved with the ISS end up seeing this.

Now this is pissposting

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 days ago (3 children)

Do they dump it into space when they’re done or do they have to ship the piss back to earth?

All water conserved, recycled into drinkable water

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

What about the poo tank?

[–] CameronDev 23 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Bear grylls it. More seriously, the water is purified and recycled.

[–] Scoopta 8 points 4 days ago (3 children)

What about the leftovers tho

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 days ago (2 children)

They’re able to recycle 93% of the water on the station. The leftover high concentration waste water, along with the poop bags, are loaded into a Progress or Cygnus cargo ship that burns up on reentry.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Thanks, that’s really cool

Spread on toast.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

They waste as little as they can in space

Yesterdays coffee is today's coffee

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago
