Is that where you exercise your pizza, or where you exercise while eating pizza, or just a pizza themed gymnasium?

@sag! You actually listened to my comment and looked into it! Thank you so much for posting it! I can't wait for more people to try it out! :)

Yea, Thanks \( ̄▽ ̄)/ for telling such a cool website.

Maybe we will get lucky and someone will create a sub for it to share their sites, general tips and tricks, and whatever else they feel like sharing. :)

Here is the website that got me to bite the bullet and start learning HTML, which was so much more fun than I had imagined it to be!

Why not you create it. I am already mod on so many communities. I don't want to get called powermods.

Also one of the great example of neocities website is : https://wuzzy.neocities.org/

I keep limber by jumping to conclusions

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

Did you know there are people in this world that don't have to put up with all this shit?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

We did a geocities site for a group project in English class. We were working together on it over Yahoo Messenger. We got an A on it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Do you happen to still remember the url?

So is this some centralised stuff that will get enshittified if if works out or how does it work on a more technical side?

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Static webpages are light to host. It could get enshittified but people could take their website and spend 5mins learning to host it on another place or their own machine.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Thanks, didn't know it was static content only.

Subsidiary question, are people actually having webpages on their own PCs nowadays? I always wondered why there seemed to be so few.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

are people actually having webpages on their own PCs nowadays?

Fuck no. That's why this will get enshittified. Anyone that tells you people will just move or host it themselves live in a fucking dreamworld. That's why geocities went away without a replacement.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

A shame, it would be nice if people had a web page served from their PC...

In a secure way ofc.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

will get enshittified

It will not. It's actually for community. It is a GeoCities(Dead) replacement a Old Website hoster.

how does it work on a more technical side?

It's for simple people. You got the idea wrong. I think you should use codeberg.page or github.io.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

I doubt it would get big enough to be worth enshittifying, but it absolutely could happen.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think you're being too dramatical

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I was just curious about how it's supposed to function :-)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Ah! It happens. Sorry if I was mean to you.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Ha ha no worries 😊

[–] [email protected] -1 points 2 weeks ago

Just extremely simple & limited, like the original garbage that was Geocities.
