Honestly, I got nothing. In German, we would say Besteck or Tafelsliber.

Silverware (Tafelsilber : banquet/table silver) exists.

Besteck used to mean sheath, bestecken could be translated as to decorate with, stecken is to put into.

It's not that food weapon is close to the German word but it's the description this German guy came up with.

I could see the Swedish being translated as stabbers

skriva: to write
beskriva: to describe

sticka: to stab
bestick: stab-related noun?

Tafelsilber is silber tho.

In America ... they would have handed him a Samurai mall sword and a shotgun

German guy looks around at everyone eating their food with swords and shotguns

Samurai mall sword

🤣 Why is that a real thing anyway?

Made from high grade aluminum. Says made in China in it so you know it's genuine.

Germans use a fork and knife for everything. Pizza: fork and knife. Burger: fork and knife. Yogurt: fork and knife. Jewish souls: fork and knife.

I thought Germans used Zyklon B for that last one?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Zyklon B is just German for “fork and knife.”

Yogurt: fork and knife.

That's called cheese, bob.
