Posts must be:

  1. Links to news stories from...

  4. ...would make people who see the headline think, “That has got to be a story from The Onion, America’s Finest News Source.”

And Cheney was a fucking monster so like that’s saying something.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 week ago

That tells enough about the Republican party's current direction.

Can’t believe I upvoted Dick Cheney.

What a dick!

Of course, he’s not a republican, he’s a conservative.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Exactly, there’s such a difference now. Republicanism is no longer a set of values, it’s a cult. Nothing can undo the damage that’s been done.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Ironically, the amount of damage done makes it almost fixable. Trump going so far off the deep end will eventually allow whatever conservative political body forms after he's out of public life to disavow Trumpism.

Compare the Trump movement to the Tea Party movement and you'll see what I mean. The Tea Party wasn't too far away from the existing Republican platform, and the movement was comparatively tame. Because of that, the Republican party would not be able to separate itself from the Tea Party movement if they tried.

after he's out of public life

Preach Lemming!

That's the only thing that matters now. I can't see or hear him anymore. Also, he has damaged humanity enough.

It's like his fucking toxic aura spread around the world and divided societies in 2 extremely opposed factions.

The grabbers and the not-grabbers.

He's still alive?

You know what? I fuckin hate the guy, but in the context of “let’s stop the goddamn fascist kleptocrats”, I’ll take it.

The ends justify the means eh?

That guy epitomizes everything that went wrong with Iraq and the Nixon administration. I wouldn't believe there's anything good about him until now.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago

This doesn’t make him good, it’s just the point that trump is a bridge too far for him.

I figured this post was gonna be about the ghoul dying. Strange times.

Hundreds of high profile republicans, literal ghouls, endorsing the Dem nominee isn’t exactly something to be celebrated. But sure go off, liberals lmao

I’m voting for the same party as a world-historic war criminal so like that’s saying something.
