I think that a perfect rock is harder to encounter, so I'll take that. The stick is cooler imo, though.

Exactly my thoughts but other way around. I'd love to throw that rock, but to keep that stick

[–] [email protected] 37 points 4 months ago (3 children)

It's always the rock, and always have been.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 4 months ago

Bruh, everyone knows the stick is better.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

No make fire with rock, stick win

[–] [email protected] 21 points 4 months ago

Flint: am I a joke to you?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 months ago

The rock is geological wonder.

The stick has been manipulated to look like that.

Rock. The stick is fake.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Stick is temporary. It will degrade and fall apart eventually. Rock is forever, rock can be family heirloom.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 4 months ago (4 children)

Break stick in half? Now two sticks.

Stick always win.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Had the perfect stick sword as a kid. Another kid thought to be mean and broke it in half. Cool, TWO short swords, dual wielding unlocked.

He made you a pair of sai!

Perfect stick is easily crafted with a knife, perfect rock will need advanced machine. I pick paper, it win against rock.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 months ago

Perfect Paper is not the discussion! Back of the line!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

Paper is shredded stick

Rock is easier to carry, lasts longer, and is harder to replicate.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 4 months ago

Counterpoint: I will immediately skip the rock on the first body of water I find, losing it instantly. Stick I will treasure forever.

This is, no joke, exactly how the argument went, in my head. And the stick won.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Just to make my statement perfectly clear:

Goblin “artificer”

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Definitely the stick. A perfect rock is only good once, which is when you throw it. A stick is good for decades. My dad has a stick I found 36 years ago and still uses it. Nobody uses a rock for that long.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 months ago (1 children)

What is stopping you from picking up the rock after throwing it? Let me tell you, I still have a little pebble I found by a river some 20 years ago and it's not even a particularly cool looking rock or anything. If I had a perfect rock you better bet I'd keep it forever.

No worries, the rock won't go anywhere. It'll remain where you left it, patiently waiting for you to become scuba certified, like the good rock it is.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I don't know... rocks can be tricksters sometimes.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 4 months ago

Take both. If anyone questions you, hit them with whichever one is in your good hand.

Rocks are cool, but that sword stick? So good!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 months ago (4 children)

I feel like there is a stick community on Lemmy but I can't seem to find it now. Has anyone else seen this?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago

Rock fits in bundle, stick barely fits in car or big sky man save bus, me take rock

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago

Can't I multi-class??

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 months ago (4 children)

I'm leaning towards a stick, but that's a Goliath felling rock if I've ever seen one. Plus, I could skip that thing across the universe.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago

I hear ya, but.

(slaps stick) You can wail on so many telephone poles with this bad boy.

Stick

Rock

If you ever have a dog, your stick won't be one for long, your dog will chew through it and bring another log
