Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Please don't post about US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected]
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

Be an iPhone enjoyer and defend Apple here on Lemmy.
There’s no beating the hive mind.
My battery on my Samsung die during class cause i forgot to charge it, and no joke, my friend who owns an iPhone says "maybe you should get an iPhone because of that."
Sounds like a shitty friend. Idk why your comment is relevant
iPhone user bad. Weren't you listening?
Try to disagree with the hivemind on ANYTHING and you get punished. Lemmy doesn’t like opposing viewpoints.
Plus side on lemmy is that since your comment and link points aren't saved to a total on your account you can ultimately be more free with your opinion since the only penalty is especially meaningless downvotes, unlike on the other site where if you dipped well into the red you might not be able to post in places.
That is stupid but not for reason you think it is.
Or maybe you're just wrong?
iOS being shamelessly censored might be the worst event in the history of computing. It is up there with the anti-circumvention laws and treating encryption as munitions. Nobody should be able to tell you what software your hardware runs. It's not Apple's platform. It's your phone. That's what the money was for.
If you just like how it looks and feels, hey great, you are the reason I also yell at people who say 'just buy Android if you want your rights.'
