for some reason I still can’t find this community from this instance, neither searching method works, and I waited hours and tried again and still nothing

That instance might not be set up to federate with others. At the bottom of here (on web at least) you can see an instances button that if clicked shows a list of linked instances. When I look at that instance I don't see that button
