Graeme Bowman went viral after posting a framed picture of the receipt on Reddit.

Mr Bowman thought about making a curated shopping list more than a decade ago after he found a “vaguely amusing” receipt which read “hair gel, hair gel, newspaper”.

Proper mad lad there.

The idea of being a mod fills me with anxiety tbh. I also don't have enough material to fuel it. I'm extremely bad at posting.

I've been a mod of casualuk and got one report over the last few months because somebody posted a legitimate link to Chinese social media which two people mistook for spam

There's nothing much to it and Admins get reports too so we can keep an eye on things.

I also don’t have enough material to fuel it.

Just checked out r/madlads and there looks to be plenty of it out there.

I’m extremely bad at posting.

Responsibility like that makes me uncomfortable and I'm trying to keep my Lemmy experience a positive distraction rather than a burden. It's why I also mostly stay out of news and politics subs.

It's just something that sparked a train of thought. Probably because it didn't say "2x hair gel" and made a list instead. One which he realized he could curate into something interesting.
