I figured that part out. I set my settings to default to subscribed. I started looking for communities here on Lemmy.world and found selfhosted. I joined because I thought it looked somewhat active with a few posts. Now when I go there to that specific community, sometimes I see one post...sometimes I see a whole bunch of posts that are clearly from other communities. I just wanted to contribute to a thread I saw earlier about what I'm selfhosting.

I joined the selfhosted community here...but I'm seeing posts from other Lemmy.world communities for some reason. Is this just a symptom of overloaded servers? When I first joined the community I thought I saw a decent number of posts....but now there only seems to be one. Maybe I was seeing other community posts then too? I don't know for sure.

Currently: Samsung S21 FE 5G Overall I like it....it's snappy and does what I need. Not a huge fan or OneUI, Samsung's take on Android. Got it for wireless charging mostly.

Previous Phones: Motorola Z2 Force - my favorite Android phone, just not fast enough today. Loved the Moto Mods Nexus 6 - Loved it at the time, but became too big for me and went for smaller to follow it. Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S... iPhone 3GS - First and Last iPhone...got tired of jailbreaking to use it the way I wanted to.

My upgrades have mostly been by choice leading up to the Z2 Force. Got them as new ones I liked came out. After that it was out of necessity.

Other Android I use: We have 3 NVidia shields in front of my media center running Emby. I've had a couple of Android SmartWatches, but don't currently have one.

I'm on Windows 10 for my primary PC/Laptop. Linux powers my servers. My dad uses Apple Products, has a iPhone 13 Pro, some iPad, and a Watch 8. I'm his caregiver as he is getting older. Not really looking to switch him as it works for him.
