Couldn't agree more 🤣 That's why I tell people I don't like fish even though I do technically eat it.

My understanding is that HDR formats utilise 10-bit color formats rather than being strictly equivalent.
From Wikipedia:
HDR video refers to a video encoded in an HDR format. Thoses HDR video have a greater bit depth, luminance and color volume than standard dynamic range (SDR) video which uses a conventional gamma curve.
As it alludes, HDR is more than just a 10-bit color space. Encoding anime in 10-bit doesn't take advantage of the greater luminance or dynamic range. It does take advantage of the color space to minimise banding.
Deep fried and fresh is okay. This includes fish, calamari rings, etc. Anything else is a hard no including oysters, prawns, non deep fried fish, lobsters, crabs, etc
They've committed to investing $10B into OpenAI. The engineering cost of swapping out the Bing integration wouldn't even register.
Massive self-own on the part of the OpenAI board and possibly one of the biggest conceivable wins for Microsoft in a long time. Microsoft has it's hand in both pies (OpenAI and Sam&co) and also has significant developments on the chip side too. Is this the turning point we'll look back on when Microsoft dominates the AI space?
I strongly agree that we don't need to start a war over this, but there has got to be more that we can be doing to show China that their actions have consequences, something to check their blatant disregard for the spirit of cooperation.
cool, good to know. thanks!
It's far better to use this site: fingerprint.com/demo
they are one of the largest actual/commercial vendors of fingerprinting software. their business is to track you.
please try it with brave and post your results. i could be wrong but last time i checked brave failed this test. arkenfox doesn't even allow the tracking to load which I consider a pass although you could argue that just because the results don't load doesn't mean they aren't able to track you in some way
The benefit is that it's much easier to maintain and also increases privacy over the "blending in" approach. With trying to make your fingerprint similar to others, there are always going to be things that you miss that do actually make you uniquely identifiable. Certain things also aren't practical to "blend".
Think about a real life analogy. If you try and blend in with a crowd, even if you do it really well, a sufficiently sophisticated observer will still be able to spot you.
With a randomisation strategy you acknowledge that you will never be able to perfectly blend in and thus allow yourself to stand out. Trackers can build up a profile using that fingerprint. But as soon as your fingerprint changes you are completely unique again.
If you are in a crowd an observer can track you, but next time you appear you appear as someone completely different and thus lose the tail.
Is there a reason why you weren't able to license under the Apache 2.0 license? It's similarly permissive while including a patent grant.
This could have been prevented if there was a good toddler with a gun.
It's true, but being a close 2nd behind Apple for most valuable public company by market cap is not a bad place to land despite it.
