Consistency is very important espcially later on. When the user or client is talking about X and it's called Z in the Database and Y in the code this will cause so much confusion. I think the fact you care means you are good programmer. Don't loose that.

Never is a very long time. I Hope they can maintain that promise because having to write lots of code everytime there is a major upgrade is so costly. I agree with @mrkite, I wish Angular had the same idea and even Vue.

Those Framework laptops look amazing. I hope they take off so the big guys take notice.

@out_of buy what you can afford . The more power the better when programming. Remember you are running 2 maybe more applications at once. The IDE and the application you are debugging (maybe not so much with Android dev). Unlike a normal user who is just using their browser or word or excel . HTH

I would find it easier than to do SQL than doing grep on git logs
