I’d argue this is not an exception, just a misunderstanding of what “works” means. Clearly the “protecting wires in case of overload” function is not working…

Because they are currently the only company acknowledging their fault? Boycotting them while ignoring all the other companies benefiting from the exact same practice seems counterproductive…

Docker Desktop now has a license cost for medium+ sized businesses. Docker Engine remains open source, but the desktop UI as well as the tech that makes Docker work on Windows (and Mac?) is now no longer free.

It’s even worse than this. The law is apparently worded in such a way that doing anything to an image counts as retouching. So unless basically publish straight from the camera they have to put that mark on

You can tell the book is written from within China. It has some different perspectives to what you’d normally find in a “western” book, but not in a propaganda way. Worth the read

Sounds like maybe capture the flag would be a good start for what you’re interested in. There’s some good YouTubers that cover the basics. I don’t remember any off the top of my head, but search for Capture the Flag on YouTube and you should find them

Regular password changes haven’t been recommended procedure for several years now. The only problem it solves is preventing people from using the same password everywhere, but since everyone just sticks a number at the end anyways it doesn’t actually protect against that either

Tbf, they did recently (I think) implement a feature where Edge would open with the email in a sidebar when opening links from outlook. So at least there’s some point to it.. if that’s a feature anyone actually wants..
