A decade before Airbnb persuaded homeowners to transform their homes into hotels, Netflix convinced its users to turn theirs into mini Netflix warehouses. Customers who held onto their DVDs for longer meant fewer shipping costs for Netflix, and fewer DVDs for the company to manage and store. Netflix tracked heavy users of its service — labeling them internally as “pigs” — and secretly throttled their deliveries. It didn’t matter if Netflix rented fewer DVDs than Blockbuster, because the company would keep collecting its monthly fee. The difference between Blockbuster and Netflix was this: Blockbuster punished customers for being forgetful; Netflix rewarded them for being mindless.

Fascinating! I had no idea.

I used to support deporting all illegals until very recently. The Democrats have a point about going door-to-door being unfeasible and expensive. Where I'm at now, I'd like to see a two-year grace period for illegals to take advantage of a path to citizen ship, and if they begin that process, they're immune from deportation. During that period, illegals who commit crimes and are convicted of them would be deported. Afterwards, illegals would be deported on an as-noticed basis.

Illegal immigration is a problem, but if an illegal immigrant is being violent, we'll notice, and if they're not, there's no real urgency in deporting them.

What poll is that?

I think illegal immigration is a real problem, but you make a good point here.

I avoid piracy if I can support a work physically by buying it (or even digitally if it's on iTunes cuz I can removed the DRM).

Turns out that the Blu-Ray version of this does have banned episodes so I'll be getting that one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R3U5FN9UX6QFV5?ASIN=B0DFWKTXTD

This show debuted with 2.83 million viewers and ended with 11.4. I don't watch it, but bravo. You don't see numbers like that often.

Fair point. That's why I wouldn't be shocked to see theatrical re-releases overshadow new movies at the cinemas within the next few years.

Yep! Not the cop show which is also Australian.

Haha! I was curious because I collect physical media and plan on getting the new Bluey S01-S03 DVD set next month. I've only seen the show on Disney+ but it looks like the DVD is from the BBC.

I guess there's no way to get the show uncensored then?

Which topics did they shy away from? I have only seen a few episodes and plan on watching the whole thing when I have more time.

There's nothing more romantic than reading off a list!

Jokes aside though I found this to be a lightly interesting read.

So I guess the show is over?

Not that I'd be mad if it is, I prefer it when shows wrap up on a high note.
