How many chains did you do on the ends to turn? This tutorial is saying to do 4. It looks to me like you either did less than that or your chains were a bit tight, which maybe made you lose track of them at the ends?
I use a radiant heat panel in my snakes Terrarium, the human-sized versions of them look pretty promising imo. You could install one on the ceiling right above your work desk so that it radiates the warmth down. They might be a bit on the pricey side though.

A larger mass loses less thermal energy because it has less surface. So the snakes bask during the day and store up heat, and then huddle together to keep that heat around for longer. Same as a big rock would hold heat for longer than separate tiny pebbles would

I have to admit that I won't be on good terms again with my sibling for a long while. They did some very distressing things this year that were a large contributor to my burnout. Never apologized for it, never tried to fix anything. I'm done with that tbh

Personally, I've just been rebuying the vegan version of foods whenever they ran out in the past week or so. So like, Cereal, Milk, Bread and Sauces. I also stocked up on frozen foods like fries and vegan dino nuggets, because I eat like a 5 year old ๐คท
