We'd reach the heat death of the universe before entering in 1357!

Those are odd pin numbers
Realistically, it's more like my Focus breaks down.
I'm reading this as crime rates would be reduced by 82%. Not 100%, but that's pretty damn good. And given that women are more likely to attack people they know, discord amoung your friend group or family would be more dangerous than walking in public.
I'll accept it, but only if told from the viewpoint of Krypto.
"And you're so pale. You need some sun."
Vampire: "I don't think you understand how vampires work."
No publisher is going to pay a professional to narrate their audiobooks when they can have AI do a shitty job for much less.
A shitty narrator can get me to hate a book I like. A great narrator can bring the characters to life, enhance the experience, and turn me from a listener to a fan. I've searched for books by narrators like Nick Podehl and Jeff Hayes and bought audiobooks I wouldn't have otherwise.
I wouldn't support it even if the author couldn't afford it otherwise. There's no test to confirm that and knowing profit margines, all publishers will use AI for all their books.
Yes, I'd want smaller authors to have people listen to their books, but without oversight, it's going to ruin all audiobooks.
I'm pretty sure our insomniacs still outnumber the Europeans (At least on Lemmy)
Edit: I continued scrolling and maybe not. Keep seeing these things I don't understand. Well played.
AI trains using AI generated articles on repeat. Have you seen what happens to a YouTube video when you download and reupload a video over and over again?
Counterpoint: The reason AI cannot be a better teacher is that it does not and cannot handle the physical "care" part of teaching. You can provide a 5th grader all the material they need to know, but good luck getting them to absorb that, especially if they don't want to learn.
