It's a reasonable increase considering recent inflation, and safe since YouTube just raised their price too. In the long run I would be worried for them since YouTube premium is a much better deal if you don't care about Spotify's exclusive podcasts.

I think it was only free for a limited time when you buy the car, they might have changed it since then though.

Even Toyota is doing this now. They locked features like the digital tire pressure gauge behind a paywall on their app.

I hope they can get the base relocated and that heavy rail project built. Once the main trunk line is done, the transport issues should start to be relieved quickly. When I visited Okinawa I was struck by how American it felt. I think it's a good experience to visit, it reveals how much of what we consider "Americaness" is derived from car centric infrastructure. At least Japan doesn't have batshit zoning laws like America, so it should be easier to fix.

Damn I don't think I've seen an orly owl in like 15 years. Completely forgot about this meme.

The Dominion app is great. It is also cross buy with the Dominion PC version on Steam, and the price on the Android store is usually a bit lower.

I would just recommend to make sure you pick small, realistic projects as you learn. There is a lot of cool stuff you can do with programming, but pick the easy, boring stuff and finish it to completion. Everyone makes a todo app, but it's a really good learning experience, so just make sure you don't skip the basics.

I tried to start with learning Unity and C# to make games, but realistically it took about a year of making smaller command line projects before I knew enough to even begin to do something that complicated. Anyways, the fundamentals are important, learn them well.

This is also a really good point. Britain immediately recognized the PRC after the 1949 revolution while the US recognized the ROC for another 30 years. If the ROC never paid back it's debts, and the United States never asked them to, the debt was de facto forgiven.

What a dumb article. Britain was broke in the 80s and needed the money and pressed the issue. China was weak at the time and wanted Hong Kong back peacefully. Under those circumstances it made since to pay the debt. Today China has the second largest economy in the world and zero incentive to pay back America, and no one expects them too.

There is no such magic thing as calling in a debt. If China is in default and no one cares, the debt practically does not exist. Americans complaining about it won't affect China's interest rates or anything else.

The single player mission packs were great. I loved Naxx and League of Explorers. I wish Blizzard could have just made that a separate game, since there was no incentive for unfun power creep in a single player experience. I guess Slay the Spire fills that void at least.

It's hard to play Fallout 3 when New Vegas is so similar and so much better.

Sleeping dogs is a great game. I never liked any GTA games or anything else in that style but I fell in love with that game. Great combat, fun story, great atmosphere and and beautiful representation of Hong Kong.
