I would hope for the opposite tbh. I would love for Mlem to be a streamlined experience so new lemmy users don't feel overwhelmed. Apollo hit the sweet spot with that.
I hope this changes in the future... something like 98(9.1k), meaning the first number is the local instance and in brackets are global.
That's the point of Black Mirror though. It's like a looking-glass into a fucked up dystopia where things like that happen. On the surface its obviously funny but then the more you think about it the more of the real elements seep through. All of this is wrapped up in a goofy story line for the broader audience.
