I'm not sure how exactly the tides are measured and if it differs internationally, but we have floods at around 5m every few years without any significant damage (German source). Hamburg had a flood with 6.45m in 1976 without damage to the city (only the port and other parts outside the levees were obviously damaged; German source).

I guess this really depends on where you live. Germany at least has rather strong protections for patients. We had a case last year in our town of a woman with ~40 suicide attempts who would still not be held against her will (German source). So please get help if you feel you need it (and get informed about your rights).

Und Sexist nicht zu vergessen! Er hat z.B. dagegen gestimmt, Vergewaltigung in der Ehe als Vergewaltigung zu bestrafen und ist Abtreibungsgegner. Und scheint homophob zu sein.

Hat der psychisch ein klinisches Problem?

Zumindest die Menschen mit (auch klinisch relevanten) psychischen Problemen, die ich kenne, sind deutlich empathiefähiger und solidarischer als Mr Obere Mittelklasse. Von daher bitte ich darum, in Zukunft andere Vergleiche zu wählen.

Es regt mich so auf, wie unspezifisch er "argumentiert" und wie wenig da anscheinend nachgehakt wird, warum das in diesem Fall noch "schwierig" sein sollte. Und warum "schwierig" ein Argument ist, es gar nicht erst zu versuchen. Vielleicht sollte ich das bei meinem Chef nächstes mal auch probieren: "homoludens, hast du schon das dringende Feature XY fertig?" - "Nee, das ist derzeit kein Thema für mich, das ist eine ganz schwierige Sache."
