Keep using the current version for now, it's perfectly stable.

Simple Gallery has a feature rich photo and video editor as well. I haven't found any FOSS app that can edit videos. Also, any Material You themed Dialer app? Don't want to use the old AOSP one :(

Other than these two, I think all other apps have good alternatives.

For Contacts and Clock, use YOU apps. I don't think anything can replace the Gallery, I'll continue using the current version for as long as there's a new community-maintained fork. It's quite stable really, doesn't really need changing this very moment.

Yeah that seems plausible.

Frieren has been really good, my favourite this season.

YouTube has also started attaching a Share ID of sorts:

The "si" query parameter is the tracker in question.

Presumably, it has your user ID embedded in it so all your efforts to concele your identity by using anon IDs on Lemmy/Reddit/Twitter etc routing through VPNs Tor whatnot can be shattered with a single share of a YouTube video. Plus, they can track and associate users with each other based on who all opened your link.

Using SimpleLogin, I create an alias for every new sign up and just turn it off if not needed. Only give your personal email to people not apps and websites.

Currently costs peanuts in India (have some good friends over there 🥸) and there's no password sharing crackdown yet. Comes down to $2 per person on the highest plan. As long as this continues, I'll stay subbed to Netflix.

I've tried using OnlyOffice several times but text doesn't look as crisp, have they fixed anti-aliasing for text?

There's an option in settings called font hinting with 3 options: Linux, MacOS and Windows. Not sure why. All 3 look bad. Is there an issue on my end?

Almost as if it's mildly infuriating! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I support my favourite creators by buying their merch, subbing on Patreon and not skipping their sponsor segments (using their code to buy the product if I like it).

I don't support Google, not because they show ads on YouTube, but because they track their users EXTENSIVELY and in most cases, without informing them properly or taking their consent, to personalize the ads on YouTube and everywhere else. This sort of tracking without consent should be illegal and I'm not paying them to keep this up.
