You may find that all the extra attention to details as water temperature or precise pouring pace may be unnecessary for you, at least at first. I was intimidated too, especially for the equipment, but then I started brewing using a normal kitchen scale and a stove kettle without thermometer, only relying on the boiling point, and I have to say surely I have less control over the final result but still I enjoyed very very good cups of coffee So I’d suggest you to just give it a shot doing your best but without unnecessarily hassle and improve your technique a bit at time

You can also brew and then forget about it for 15 minutes only to realise when it’s too late and the whole thing is cold-warm

Actually I did it one time, but every response I got was in English even if the user was a Japanese speaker. So I started worrying that the translation was incorrect, even if it was specified that I wasn’t a Japanese speaker. I wonder if maybe, especially in the Fediverse context, Japanese users might be pretty used to English and Latin alphabet in general so that it may be easier to them if I just write using the language I actually know in order to avoid mistakes

I often reply under Japanese posts, and I always assume users will use a translator as I do, but maybe in the context of a Japanese instance or conversation this may look rude?

Also people like Minecraft precisely for its comfy basic aesthetic and vibe in general

Exactly. But also when studying art history you find it on the captions of the manual

They will literally do everything except just installing freaking fiber cables

It seems like you did some tests, how do you think the frequency of the pouring influence the final taste?

I stopped pretending being smart a while ago, so I’m genuinely lost 🙃 Also I don’t speak German, except I only know “kunsthistorisches” for some reason

That’s a curious finding, where was the shop located if I may ask?

A whole community just for this? Well this is bad (the fact that it is even needed)

This might come quite late but thankfully will be helpful for others.

I just had the same issue on my instance, I solved this by selecting Undefined in addition to English in settings > languages

I’m not sure but it seems like unselected languages from that list are filtered out. I’d rather prefer to see everything so maybe the best thing would be to just select them all but I’m not sure

Actually I’m more interested in them to be ethical and vegan, but being also European usually means that they need to be shipped for shorted distances, and thus to cut down their carbon footprint
