But honestly, what can even be considered "comfortably different" from Pokemon? If you make funny little animals, they'll probably resemble at least one of the 1025 Pokemon currently in existence.

Dude, I love House of the Dead
I don't use mine as slaves. I just force them to hang out with me at my camp and they just happen to do chores for me.. cause they like it
As much as it pains me to agree with you, I think I agree with you.
I know it's kind of an unpopular thread, but geez, those are widely considered some of the greatest games. It seems like you're a bit older than I was when I played most of those, and I wonder if my youth made me enjoy those games more than they deserved.
Oh I played that a lot as a kid. I always wondered why it was called The Lost Levels
Oh no way, I didn't know that. When you said you wanted to try the Japanese Super Mario 2, I thought you were just referring to Doki Doki Panic.
Now I really want to play the Japanese Super Mario 2 as well.
Dude, seriously. The contrarians are out on full display with this game. You see the same poorly thought out points regurgitated in every thread.
The monsters look like Pokemon and you capture them in balls. That's the extent of the similarities.
But what you can do after that is fun and unique. I've always wanted to play a game where I could live with Pokemon. Having a Vulpix help me cook my food and a Piplup help me water my crops is awesome.
Zombie movie makers are always looking for a fresh new angle. I think you just found one.
If it's not drawn in Japan it's just sparkling porn
I know, and you're absolutely right.
I just wanted to let you know that House of the Dead rocks.
