although i use a different mobile client that's built on older code (aliucord for those curious!), i still tried out the new update and it isn't terrible imo. what i mainly don't like is the server list and dms being completely seperate now, how spaced out things are, the swipe to reply feature, the members + pinned messages list being moved, how messages don't have a smooth little transition/animation when you send them. there are some things i like, like how in the members/pinned messages list theres a media and links tab now.. and other things i don't remember right now lol, but the cons outweigh the pros for me.. back to aliucord i go :p

im a trans guy who got top surgery 2 years ago, and i can agree with everyone in this article that it was the best thing i have ever done for myself! since i got top surgery, i have felt so much more comfortable and free in my body. i have felt like i could explore myself, my identity, and my gender expression more than ever. i don't think about how im trans that much anymore. or at least, i don't think about it in a way that makes me upset about myself. top surgery has really given me the chance to embrace myself and my identity :) i could go on forever about how much this surgery means to me but i think yall get the point by now lol
any vent or rant that comes out of nowhere.. if ppl ask me if i'm in a good headspace to listen before saying anything, ofc that's cool! but ppl who just walk up and start talking about their bullshit i don't care about are super annoying imo
as a trans guy this question is very silly to me
this post has inspired me to look into it! i already was a part of proton's unlimited plan, but im def gonna start financially giving to other projects (and developers of said projects) that have been life changing for me, primarily linux mint and kde!

i haven't noticed any activity on my end, but i think it might be cus im only active on like a handful of servers. im thinking the more active you are in more places, or the more active you are in the community, the more likely they'll notice you and stuff, yk? im thinking that's why even though i use 3rd party clients on both pc and mobile, they haven't done anything to my account
