Can we please get the 10K char post limit raised to 50K or even 100K chars in v0.18? Many mods are desperate to get their wikis/guides ported from reddit and this has been a showstopping issue.

So glad to see former reddit third party developers and apps rising to the occasion! I sincerely hope that the Infinity devs and other FOSS initiatives are coming onboard too.

I don't believe this feature exists yet, but I imagine it won't be long before it does. As far as I know, instances can only be blocked by the local admin.

What about leaving the account with all the edited messages?

That's what I did for a couple of my 10+ year old accounts. Pointed everyone over here and left it active.

Off the top of my head...

  1. Removing spam
  2. Reviewing flagged posts and actioning them as needed
  3. Ensuring that posts follow the community rules
  4. Organizing events and contests for your userbase, if applicable

It can definitely be a thankless job at times, but also very rewarding to see the community flourish.

Might have been something on your end, or simply server issues. Reddit has gone offline a few times today already. I was able to delete a few old accounts earlier today without issue.
